A bad day in the office for Andy Murray who had his Instagram account hacked earlier today by a scam company advertising counterfeit goods to his 1.7 million followers.
The hackers infiltrated the tennis pro’s account and proceeded to make multiple posts with showcasing counterfeit goods at a heavily discounted price…an obvious attempt to cash in on the advertising potential of the account.
Luckily for the Scottish former World No.1 the issue was dealt with and he once again regained access to his account. He will no doubt be wondering about how this breach could have occured.
This just shows that even the top celebrities are not immune to scams and hacks. Let’s hope the post was taken down quickly enough and no purchases were made.
