Roger Federer Wins 100th Match At Australian Open

Twenty-time grand slam champion, Roger Federer, survived inspired Australian John Millman, to win his third-round match at the Australian Open and record his 100th win down under, the first player ever to do so.

Federer won the final six points of a fifth-set tiebreak to grab victory in four hours, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(10-8) on Friday night.

“What a match!”

“What a match! John deserves way more than half of this. He made it so difficult for me,” Federer said afterwards.

“He was doing all that stuff and kept on coming up with the goods. He deserves all the support – he is a great story and a great fighter.”
