Nick Kyrgios produced some magical tennis to defeat Gilles Simon in the second round of the 2020 Australian Open, winning in four sets, 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 in just under three hours.
Krygios hit 28 aces, won 78% of all points on his first serve and hit an incredible 67 winners to Simon’s 39.
The win sets up a third-round match against the tall Russian, Karen Khachanov or the young Swede, Mikael Ymer.
A blockbuster showdown against world number one Rafael Nadal in the fourth round is on the horizon.
